Walking in the dark
I wanted our sons to be fearless and that included having no fear of the dark.
The outside temperature was just right so out we ventured into the night outside our house.
I pointed out familiar sights such as bushes and trees and asked them if they remembered how they looked in the daytime.
Down the street we went on our grand excursion.
As they grew older and had more endurance we walked up hills and down hills all the way to our neighborhood church.
It was great exercise, got the out of the house, gave their Mom a few minutes of peace and quiet – so everyone won!
