Golf Pro – Not!

Putt-Putt.  That is what our boys called miniature golf.

I don’t remember how many times we frequented our local miniature golf establishment, but we were approaching a new record for the Guinness Book.

There were rotating windmill blades to dodge, angles, curves, bridges to traverse, a true labyrinth of clever obstacles to challenge even pro golfers.

Eye-hand coordination is not one of my natural talents, so I was on par with our boys.

We kept score, except that there was liberal downward-fudging when our boys 8-putted a hole.

Out game actually improved if the course was wet after a rain, since the carpet would have a groove leading straight to the hole.

Fresh air, friendly competition, great bonding time, it doesn’t get any better than this!

Now that they are adults, they both play “adult” golf, as well as taking their little ones out to play “putt-putt”.
